If you are enrolled in a qualifying Oklahoma Medicaid SoonerCare plan, you may be eligible to receive low-cost or free incontinence supplies.

Can I Receive Incontinence Supplies through Oklahoma Medicaid?

Oklahoma Medicaid covers incontinence supplies that are medically necessary in the management of incontinence in pediatric, young adult, and older adult persons. Incontinence supplies are deemed medically necessary when used to assist with alleviating or preventing skin breakdown associated with incontinence. These medically necessary items include adult diapers, children’s diapers, pull-ups (pull-ons), disposable underpads and wipes.

What are the requirements to receive incontinence supplies from Oklahoma Medicaid?

To receive incontinence supplies from OK Medicaid, you must have the following:

  • A documented medical diagnosis resulting in incontinence
  • A signed prescription from a provider that incontinence supplies are medically necessary
  • Total number of incontinence products needed to treat condition and expected length of need

Oklahoma Medicaid will cover incontinence supplies for children 4 years old or older. If a service authorization is required, a physician and/or practitioner exam will need to be done within 90 days of the start date. For full guidelines, please refer to www.okhca.org/mau.
