health insurance plans nevada medicaid

Nevada’s Medicaid Program is a state-funded insurance program that offers coverage for low-income adults, children, pregnant women, senior citizens, and people living with disabilities.

Can I receive incontinence supplies through Nevada Medicaid?

Yes, Nevada Medicaid provides incontinence products to eligible individuals. Nevada Medicaid covers incontinence supplies when prescribed by a physician for use in chronic pathologic conditions that cause incontinence to the insured individual. These medically necessary items include protective underwear, disposable underpads, bladder control pads, and reusable underwear.

What are the requirements to receive incontinence supplies from Nevada Medicaid?

Nevada Medicaid covers certain standard medical equipment that meets the basic medical needs of the recipient. All durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) products and services must be medically necessary, safe and appropriate for the course and severity of the condition, using the least costly and equally effective alternative to meet the medical need.
