New York Medicaid covers incontinence supplies that are medically necessary to treat a patient’s condition. In order to receive incontinence supplies from NYS Medicaid, you must have the following:

• A medical diagnosis that requires incontinence supplies 
• A signed prescription stating medical need by the ordering practitioner which must be maintained in the beneficiary's clinical file
• Amount of incontinence supplies needed on a daily basis not to exceed quantity limits

Children must be older than 3 years to be eligible for supplies. Quantity limits apply. Up to 250 disposable diapers and/or liners are allowed per month. Any claims over this allowable limit will be denied. Up to 1750 disposable diapers and/or liners are allowed over a 6 month period.
